PSA for the PNMs: rush

From an ex sorority member, here's how they all work:

If you love a sorority bc "you talked to a really nice girl with your same interests from your hometown" - you're matched with girls of ur same interests/location so just know that not everyone is actually gonna be that similar to you.

If they're nice and fun, that's because everyone is TOLD to be nice, fun, enthusiastic, etc. during rush. It's definitely not authentic. They have to make you like them, that's kinda the goal of rush on the sorority's end.

If it looks like there is a really good sisterhood, they are required to say really nice things about each other and their sisterhood during their round. again, that's how they get members to join. their sisterhood isn't something u can judge based on a few conversations tbh.

Girls prepare for a long time for rush. this is a very much planned event, and it might seem like a fun and spontaneous conversation, but it's not. Them being nice to you could very well change when you actually join the organization.
