If you join for . . .

If you join a chapter for its "rank" then you're a clown. When you come back in 20 years as an alumni your house won't be top tier anymore. Ranks change. Houses get lost. New orgs join and get kicked off. Join for the people, join because you like the orgs values. Middle tier and up you will have plenty of social life and will have a great time.
