winter rush

I didn't rush in the fall, and am interested in joining greek life in the winter. I know a couple guys in a few random fraternities. Is it weird to ask them about their houses, and ask if you can stop by and meet some of the brothers?

I want to get an idea of what the houses I like are like before rush so I don't waste any time
