i'm an incoming freshman. I heard ZBT lost its charter last year (became oz), and lost its main party house. will it ruin my college experience if i end up in such a frat?

No they'll probably stay solid, might slip a little bit but they've been one of the top 6 or 7 houses for a long time even out of IFC. Sig lost its charter over a decade ago and they're still upper middle tier. The owls on the other hand...

(cont.) only disadvantage is that you won't be a ZBT alum when you graduate which won't be nearly as good for connections

Not being in IFC is an inconvenience at worst but it doesn't affect much. Without a house and national support it can be tough, but some houses can prevail. It all depends on why you're joining in the first place. If it's for alumni connections, look elsewhere. If it's for friendship and you like the guys, who cares.
