New members typically live in their sophomore year, and maybe a second year if they are on exec, depending on the house. Formal rush is changing next year though and moving to winter instead of the fall, so that's going to create some issues for housing. All the new members for winter 2020 rush will likely have already signed leases by the time winter recruitment starts, so this year's new members may have to live in for two years to keep the houses full and running.
