The AAIFC will be starting their rush this Wednesday. If you truly want a self governing group of fraternities that won't be dragged down when the University tries to get rid of its IFC, these are the fraternities you want to join. All their info is at www.aaifc.net

None of these frats were kicked off campus, they opted out of IFC so the University cannot take their houses away and continue to over regulate parties & rush

why do they have an issues with rush being regulated by the U? isn't the U just concerned with freshman safety?

U doesnt care about freshman safety, they only care about ending greek life at Umich. The AAIFC was solution to preventing the University from phasing out all of Greek Life by 2021. Last year alone IFC kicked off ZBT, Sig Ep, and Phi Delt despite them all being upstanding fraternities.

Solid analysis, but think you meant DU and Lambda nationals allowed takeovers/mergers.

What's the problem with freshmen waiting until the winter to rush? They do it that way at a lot of strong colleges. Letting kids get adjusted to campus FIRST is better for everyone involved, isn't it?

What are the downsides, in the eyes of chapters? Just p-ssed about a budget shortfall? P-ssed that the more freshmen know, the less they are to get involved in Greek life, or less likely to be pressured to join certain houses? I'm really trying to understand why waiting 3 months (January) is end of the world horrible to you guys.
