recruitment question
by: pnmwhat is the difference between rushing as a freshman or sophomore that has not dropped from rush before?

houses don’t take a lot of sophs usually bc they mess up budgets cause it’s one less year of dues.. other than that, they don’t have a great retention rate, like they usually will drop before they graduate (less $$$$ for dues in this case too). they also just have a harder time vibing with their PC cause they’re older and tend to hang out with their friends from freshman year a lot instead of with their new PC. this isn’t a bad thing, just increases the chance that they won’t make friends in their PC and will drop. houses also want to make sure that a sophomore is friends with their own PC. So even if you have tons of friends in the older PC it still isn’t a great look if the PNM is gonna flake out on their own pc and only hang with older girls (increases chances that they’ll drop). basically it’s a money thing and sophomores are more of a risk
