1. the lower frat will get forced out (unless handled well which doesnt happen for the lower frats that were bottom of the bottom and are willing to give everything up to move up)
2. in the last five years, no merged frat has ever had a "bad" rush
3. the sororitys that the higher frat mixed with before are still mixed with
4. mergers with irresponsible frats WILL ruin both frats (zbtke/why pikapp didnt accept zbt)
Overall, things are pretty much guaranteed to go well externally. Internally, a frat is ruined unless the original frat maintains power, but a toxic frat will ruin everything (all based on old psi u/asig, sammy/dchi, chi psi/xi, sig/dke, and zbtke so far).

This is a very good post, but everyone overlooks the first thing you said. OG kids ALWAYS get pushed out. Brotherhood between OG DKE kids and sig kids were non-existant. Sig took over the chapter and forced all of the DKE kids out.
Zbt were all kids from the 2015-2016 no bid list and when TKE came in, they wanted NOTHING to do with the original kids.
Chi psi were nice kids so they didnt necessarily force the OG xi kids out, but the OG xi kids get no respect there. Not from the chi psi kids or the kids who came in after the merger.
Lamnda and Du are about to find that out.
Please dont sell away your brotherhood for mixers, it is a lose-lose situation.
