I am a little confused but are these frats part of the Greek system or separate?

No one has really commented because professional frats are not relevant and not part of Greek Life at U of M. Most the kids in them are weird and wouldn't get into a decent frat or sorority--yes, there are always a few exceptions.

Business and political leaders brag and talk about their social frats.

No one really pays attention until they try to pretend they are in real frats, not those formed in the 1970s so the geeks would have a place to hang. People just laugh.
