top/mid tier luck
by: student xI am transferring next fall and I will be a junior, I have good grades and I also would say I'm good looking, is it worth it to rush or should I not waste my time because I'm a junior? I don't really want to be apart of a lower tier sorority. atleast a mid-tier. is this possible?

The Greek system here isn't especially kind to upperclassmen going through sorority rush. Some houses will cut you right after mixers if you aren't a freshman simply because you cannot give them as much time as a first year student. However, that shouldn't discourage you from rushing. AOPi just recolonized on campus, and I know they took quite a few juniors last year. Also, if you're only concerned with sorority tiers, not only are you going to be sadly disappointed, you are rushing for all the wrong reasons. It doesn't matter whether a house is top, mid, or bottom tier. It matters that you vibe well with girls who you'll hopefully be friends with for life. Good luck if you do decide to go through recruitment and keep an open mind.
