how selective are mid tier fraternities?

by:

I know I ain't top tier material, but I'd say I'm more on par with middle tier. Dress well, have a sense of humor, etc,

How selective are some of the mid tiers? Anyone know rough %s of bids/total rushees?

Im in what most people classify as an "upper middle tier" (rankings are pretty stupid) and what I can tell you is that in fall we get like 200-230 kids sign up for our rush at the mass meeting. We usually give out like 30 or so bids and get a pc of about 25

Would you say a lot of those 200 or so kids are not cut out for the Greek scene/not a good fit? In other words, when y'all decide who to take on, is there a lot of discussion for everyone or do a lot of pnm's have a "reject" consensus?

Well I would say that we cut a lot of them first round without much discussion. With so many guys rushing us if they don't stick out or aren't remembered, they're not going to get invited back. It's just too time consuming at that point. It's all a numbers game so just rush around and check out a lot of places during welcome week.

Pike & Fiji are called upper mid on here but get more bros rushing than any other house. If you didn't go to the right high school or aren't verifiably wealthy, you're not sniffing a bid at the top 6-7 houses

Lol go crawl back in the hole you came from. If you're a cool dude you can get a bid anywhere, you don't need to be "verifiably wealthy"
