sigma chi transfer

Hate to be the person asking this kind of stuff on this website, but I just decided I'm transferring to Michigan after getting accepted into the Ross Business School. At my previous school, Sigma Chi was considered one of the better houses on campus. Looking at rankings on this site, I keep seeing that Sigma Chi tends to fall towards bottom/middle tier. Not that I’m concerned about rankings or anything, but was just wondering what their reputation is and what the guys are like. Just trying to decide if I want to get involved with the chapter or not. Thanks.

If you look at the rankings you'd see that their the definition of middle of the middle, def not bottom tier. You should prob just go to the house and meet them/get a vibe for them. But yeah there also for sure not top tier

I know a bunch of the guys in the house. Almost all of them have separately told me they don't like the other guys in it, and only joined so their freshman years wouldn't be terrible. Doesn't really hold up to their national rep either

i know a bunch of the freshmen and they're some of the nicest guys in greek life. They may not be top tier like other sig chis, but if you're looking for some really nice/fun guys you'll still get that at this chapter. as much as other mid tier frats think they're above sig chi, my friends in a bunch of different tiers of sororitys have talked about how fun sig chi is. it's more up to what kind frat life you want at michigan

I completely disagree. These guys are a weird bunch and their basement gets UNBEARABLY HOT at parties. My sorority mixes with them and they are the one frat that I will always opt out of going to.

Actually they have one of the biggest and best basements on campus (a big deal at a cold school), and there new bar in the basement this year was/is legit like 20 ft and pretty sweet,,,,, but i guess you wouldn't know that cause you "opt out" everytime, LOL

Make it more obvious that you're trying to attack sigma chi haha, your comment is completely made up. They had tailgates every Saturday that didn't get shut down except maybe once... cause every frat tailgate gets shut down at least once by cops cause of Schlissel
