2.) If you never applied or were rejected from U-M, and attended an expensive private college that has no sports culture — like Loyola-Chicago, Miami-OH, Dayton, DePaul, Kalamazoo, Albion, Hillsdale, Hope — are you a Walmart Wolverine if you root for U-M?

1) Not sure, but my inclination would be to say no. My little brother applied to U-M among a bunch of elite schools and ended up choosing one of the Ivies that accepted him, but he's still a big Michigan fan. He wouldn't have been considered one when he became a fan because I go here, so I'm not sure why that would change.
