It's not fake news, It's for real. Several of Sig Ep chapters have gone dry. The most recent one was their Univ. of Florida Chapter. It's all part of their "Balance Man" Program.

My best friend from HS is a Kappa Sig at Florida and he told me that when Sig Ep re-colonized last year, it was announced that they would be a dry house and that the colony would have to adopt the Balance Man Program. This did not sit well with their Alumni, who are showing very little support to that colony.

What's "Balance Man"? Is it like gymnastics and stuff? Honestly, pledge olympics can be pretty funny.

A lot of people associate the word “tradition” in fraternities with parties, hazing and Animal house… If we are going to talk tradition, let’s go all the way back to our founding. These tenets started with 12 men at Richmond college in 1901. Thus, the Balanced Man Program is the true traditional fraternity experience.

Is that why so many Sig Ep chapters keep getting kicked off campuses every year? This cannot be too good of a development program.

"Social club" is a tag used by Lower tier fraternities that still illegally haze to denigrate popular fraternities like Sig Ep and Lambda Chi that do not have a two tier pledge process. Fraternities that haze, making their pledges get naked and do kinky things to each other are all dying. Students these days what a more mature experience so avoid these immature dying fraternities with a two tier system. These houses that haze are all kicked off campus or are considered bottom tier.
