dropping out and re-rushing???
by: helpI am a freshman and am pledging a sorority that I really don't like. They are considered "bottom tier" on campus and while normally I wouldn't care about that, I don't the girls in my pledge class and we have nothing in common. Would it be a really bad idea to drop and try to re rush next year as a sophomore??
#1by: Bad idea
If you got a "bottom tier" house this year, it's very unlikely that you'll do "better" next year. The sororities you want did not want you. If you want to be part of Greek Life, it's best that you give the chapter that wanted you a chance.
You haven't even been in the sorority for a month. You have hundreds of new sisters to meet. It's really hard to believe that you don't have anything in common with any of them. (No one said you can only be friends with members of your pledge class.)

it would be the same story your sophomore year. if you wait awhile and decide you dont like your current house you could try a local like phi rho alpha or go with a professional sorority in your major. usually a sophomore won't rush into a higher tier than what she would have gotten as a freshman.

Preach. Almost no one is comfortable in their own pc until they live in the house. It's been a literal week and with PCs going from 64+, you haven't really met anyone.
