actual chances of getting a bid?
by: juniorrushI know everyone says it's impossible, but what are the actual chances of a junior transfer getting a bid from a sorority? I really want to join a sorority in an effort to meet people as a junior transfer student, but what are the chances a sorority actually wants me?

alpha omicron pi is coming back to campus and if its anything like gamma phi beta a few years ago they will do a rush process after formal recruitment. so my advice is go through formal recruitment see if theres a fit and you get a bid, if not aopi could be a really good option for you because i know gamma phi took 200 girls with a mix of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors

I know junior transfers who got bids. It just depends on where you fit. Just do it, most houses don't count against transfers as much. Like everyone else, you should just keep an open mind and don't listen to tent talk/gossip, and you'll find somewhere that's right for you.
