Kappa Kappa Gamma - ΚΚΓ Sorority at University of Michigan Ann Arbor - UM 5.0 This sorority embodies so much more than looks and money like all the previous posts have stated. The girls in this sorority are academically strong, with majors such as premed, kinesiology and so many other tough majors. These girls truly believe in inclusivity and giving back to the community. They constantly fundraise and volunteer. This sorority does it all, from balancing social life and intense, rigorous school expectations. The friendships formed within the sorority are not superficial and are based on deep, pure connections. On top of brains, these girls are all beautiful inside and out. Every Kappa girls I have ever spoken to has made me feel so welcomed and respected. I believe this sorority is truly a great representation of the values of greek life at Michigan.

Kappa Kappa Gamma - ΚΚΓ Sorority at University of Michigan Ann Arbor - UM 2.4 This house has one of the worst sisterhoods on campus. There are 40 other girls in each pledge class that you've never heard of because they're the "glue." Kappa's rush process is even worse than the alleged "beta delta" rush process. Kappa participates in hash which is when girls pictures are displayed for the whole chapter to look at and pretty girls are cheered for and girls deemed less pretty are booed at. If you want to be surrounded by dry girls who are only concerned with the way they look and boys then go Kappa!

This is absolutely not true. I’m in kappa, and even though I see how people may see us negatively for material things (which is also jsut being judge mental), our rush process is 100% fair. Photos are NEVER shown and never the object of a decision. Stop spreading things you have absolutely no basis in knowing.

LOL this is so not true, I dropped kappa but can still attest that this is not how the rush process is. It’s actually extremely extremely fair.

Kappa Kappa Gamma - ΚΚΓ Sorority at University of Michigan Ann Arbor - UM 4.2 this is based off of the few girls i rushed who went kappa (mostly freshmen) and the girls i know from clubs (mostly upperclassmen), not rumors or reps: kappa is unexpectedly real, esp for a top tier sorority. they don't emphasize recruiting on looks, which is very respectable - every one i've met is just excellent at talking to people. niceness ranges from fake nice/gossipy to some of the kindest people i've met at u of m, so that might play into their ~controversial~ rep. call them loud or whatever, but hands down you cannot deny these girls are good at making a conversation. very cool, definitely some involved and high achieving girls among them.
