be so fr who actually messes with this org because why…. the girls don’t even know their philo (and i quote “we go to the beach and do stuff like pick up our trash when we are done hanging out, so it counts as cleaning the beach”)

only reason they ranked low because they are not typical popular girls. well rounded people supporting a great philo and sisterhood. only sorority i’ve seen with girls in smart majors tbh

Honestly solid 7.5/10 girls. It’s kind of a bummer that they aren’t the typical popular, but they know how to have fun all while being involved. I think the girls run on coffee all the time because how do they have so much energy while doing a philo event, going to class, doing homework, then partying. Very lowkey vibes so they keep their reputation on campus clean

Went to their first COB recruitment event of Spring 25 and I think unimpressed is an understatement. For all the talk I hear about this org on campus, I can say personally I am disappointed. They all seemed fake in some way. I was having conversations with them and it just felt off. Like I was so hyped to meet them because I hear they are super friendly, have great connections, and overall a 10/10. However, it just felt like I was being passed off from girl to girl to girl to girl to girl and I could not get out of the cycle. I needed to head off to class and just when I thought I was free they would introduce me to another girl. The whole thing felt forced and pushy. Wrapping back around to being fake, it felt like every girl was being so in-genuine and putting up a front. I first talked to a girl that said she was from my hometown yet when I started asking specific things she kinda just giggled and introduced me to another girl. Honestly it’s kind of hard to voice criticisms against any sorority on this campus because the greek community would argue back saying “you’re just mad because you did not get in”. No, I am mad because why would I be mad that I realized this is not my home. This is an outlet to potentially help people interested in greek life and to also help the sorority recruiting.

This sorority definitely has its quirks. Their marketing department on instagram and social media works overtime to make the girls seem like they all like each other. In reality, it’s Executive Board vs chapter. Depending on which group of friends you have in ΦΣΣ can make or break your experience. I chose people I genuinely bonded with to be my group, and they are considered bottom level girls. They can save face during recruitment, but I am so disappointed in the sorority I joined. They constantly push numbers on us, and how we need to get girls during recruitment. Doesn’t matter if we know they will fit or not, we just need the numbers to look good to Headquarters.

What I have noticed is that they are every girls first choice. It might be the aesthetic instagram or cookie cutter girls. The girls all look the same and usually take in one DEI girl per semester to be a token girl during next recruitment. The same goes for their athletes. The athletes do nothing to participate in the sorority, but come out during recruitment. They are by far the most expensive sorority on campus costing about $1,450 a semester not including fines, but they break it down so much when recruiting to appear as $550. The SK girls keep to themselves. They only date guys from SAE exclusively and will take turns on who they date. The only real benefit I see is that they are a national sorority so they have chapters everywhere. If you plan on leaving ULV, you always have another SK chapter to go to. Otherwise, I haven’t heard any hype for their sisterhood or philo efforts. I give kudos for them maintaining their image. They can keep their distaste for each other and drama in the closet when it really comes down to it.

Def not everyone’s first choice as a sorority due to lack in popular athletic girls and their quieter nature. They like to keep their image on campus good, clean, and philanthropic (which is not a bad thing at all considering the reps and drama of other orgs). You will actually find benefit from the amount of sisterhood events, networking, and scholarships AOII has to offer. They do not advertise this nearly enough that basically the entire chapter is apart of honor societies and on exec boards for other clubs on campus. This sorority is def if you know you know behind closed doors situation. The girls have the highest gpas on campus and know how to party once classes are done. They go line dancing, clubbing, and to off campus parties. They socialize and hangout with basically every org I’ve seen. Confidently can say they have no bad blood with any orgs literally. You’ll always find an AOII walking to class with a different org or at another orgs events. They are a very diverse sorority too. Lots of girls from different cultures and are the only sorority i’ve seen to take in foreign exchange students. I’ve seen the girls date guys from Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and other sororities. They are a very accepting sorority. Overall, they hit all the marks for a great sorority experience that will not cause anything bad to show up on your ULV record. They know how to stick together and make themselves lowkey so nothing gets out.

not the brightest or the classiest. not much u can benefit from being apart of this group. they aren’t at any big or well known schools so transferring isn’t an option. they don’t do much for sisterhood compared to other sororities
