Hey, is there fall recruitment for fraternities if you're a sophomore transfer?

Sometimes fraternities will have fall pledge classes. There's no formal recruitment process for the fall though as formal recruitment is in spring so its really up to the fraternity to decide if they want to add anyone in fall or not.

So should we email the recruitment people over the summer to see if they're interested in taking fall pledges?

I would say reach out to chapters/fraternities that you are interested in.

If you have any friends at Tulane who are in a fraternity I would go through them first to try and get you introduced to people as soon as possible. Usually the only way fraternities take fall pledges is if they were someone who almost got in during the spring, are very close to the previous pledge class, or they are a sophomore a lot of people already know. As a new transfer the best way to get in is to shoot for spring rush. Also I wouldn't recommend emailing unless you're a legacy for that particular frat
