didn't make grades for rush
by: soooso I didn't make the grades for sorority rush. I'm a freshman and this has been the only thing I've been looking forward to. Any advice on what to do next??

if you start of your sentence with "sweetie" or "i mean this is the nicest way possible but" you already sound condescending and rude. Yes school is important, and your points are valid but you don't have to say it in that tone. First semester is a hard adjustment; this girl didn't do as well as she would have liked to, and on top of that she's now bummed about rush. No need to make her feel worse by lecturing her for asking for advice on a public forum.

You're right, Tulane greek, and I apologize to the original poster. I didn't intend to come off that way. I just want her to realize what she's REALLY in school for.

It is different for every chapter, my chapter is a 3.0 min but they range between 2.5-3.0. But when you rush they see your GPA so it obviously looks better the better it is. Regardless of the reputation no sorority want low GPAs
