What fraternities take sophomore transfers? How many transfers per fall PC?

Here's the deal with transfers...it's definitely harder to get in if your a sophomore. Try to stay well connected first semester, but nothing is guaranteed.
Also, really consider joining a sorority as a sophomore- Your pc class will be a year younger than you (truthfully, a year less mature) and if you meet girls your own age, they will have already had a year together, so it may be difficult to acclimate. Focus on finding genuine friendships-especially with other transfer students (I've noticed a lot of them stick together) That being said, there were several sophomores taken this year into the Greek System, so by no means should you be discouraged! Definitely Rush, even if you have the slightest inkling to try it- you never know! Hope this helps:)

Wellllll I'm a guy so I probably wouldn't join a sorority haha. I was more asking if there are any specific fraternities that don't take fall PCs, or that are notorious for only taking non-transfers in their fall PCs, and what the rush process is like for transfers.

Fraternities at Tulane aren't allowed to pledge freshmen in the Fall, so they usually just have Spring pledge classes. That said, I know one guy in my chapter is a transfer who rushed/pledged in the fall. If you intend to rush/pledge in the Fall semester, you will have to be a lot more proactive with talking to guys in the fraternity you want to join. Also, be aware of what fraternities take sophomores in the fall; I know Delt does, but other than that, I'm not sure.

Ok this guy above is SO inaccurate. I'm in a sorority and this is how it works for frays at Tulane-
They give bids all semester long first semester to freshman and some transfers/sophomores although it's technically not allowed. GO TO AS MANY EVENTS AS YOU CAN AND MEET THE GUYS! if you mesh well with them you have the potential to get a bid (even as a sophomore). If you wait until "official" recruitment in the fall, very few fraternities have any bids left other than phi kap/ DTD/ ZBT. First week of school start going to all those big parties and getting to know guys and it will pay off!
