fall rush tips?

I'm a freshmen who did not rush and regret not doing so as it kind of sucks not being in one. I really like fiji their pc is pretty good this year and i would prob fit in the most with them. However, I do not know anyone in it. When is the deadline for fall rushing and is it recognized by IFC or not really.
Side question: Sig Chi is ranked very low on all the rankings which kind of confuses me. Their pc this year imo isn't horrible (not great by any means) and the guys I've meet seem normal so did they do something that just always turns people off from them?

coming from someone who's in a "top" sorority, people don't look down on sig chi as much as they're just indifferent to them. Personally, I've been a fan of every sig chi I've met. They're like the dude version of phi mu - really nice guys who are also smart, they just aren't as popular as some other frats. They're not bottom feeders like DTD or phi kapp, but they're not "popular" nice guys like Fiji.

Sigma Chi is definitely not as popular to girls as Fiji but I know they've improved a lot from a couple of years ago and with every pledge class they're getting better. I wouldn't say they're like the dude equivalent of phi mu's though. I would say they're equal to SDT or something like that.

I'm also in a "top" sorority and one of my best guy friends is in dtd. He's actually the best person I've met here; calling them "bottom feeders" is rude and inaccurate. Also I've really liked almost every guy I've met in sig chi so people really shouldn't push them to the back burner.
