that this is toeing the free speech line re: internet slander and goes against the student code of conduct? We're used to internet slander about pretty much everything, in spite of the fact that we love our sisterhood and are proud of it, but we draw the line at slandering our philanthropic causes. This isn't a threat by any means, but there are several higher-ups, associated with different organizations, who really have taken note and are deciding what course of action is appropriate. You can bash a group for all sorts of things, but saying recognized philanthropic organizations crosses the line into murkier territory, when it comes to free speech and slander, unless you have proof that Rose McGill, a Kappa-run philanthropy, and Reading is Fundamental, a national philanthropy, are fronts. RIF isn't happy. Tulane isn't happy. National Panhellenic isn't happy. And not that you care, but our Kappa Nationals isn't happy. Fair warning. Lay off national philanthropic organizations.

Yeah. Paying out money to "Kappas in need." I love it when Kappas pretend to be cancer patients, or pretend to lose their husbands to car crashes, or pretend that they don't have any money to help with basic things like electricity and grocery bills while their child is in the hospital dying. We are damn good actors, aren't we? We even publish some of their stories in our national magazine, which anyone can read, and we've duped the IRS for 141 years. Yep, that's us. You've nailed it. Sisters helping sisters in true times of need - that's just awful, isn't it! Glad we don't do that and just pretend to have cancer so we can take that money to 'recover' in Cancun. What's your theory about how we use Reading is Fundamental as a front? Cut 'em a deal; they get 20% of the money we raise in order to keep quiet that we're using the rest for our Cosmo suspicions. You've got our number. Time to call in the big guns to take out Rose McGill and RIF.

So besides your national philanthropy (ours, Reading is Fundamental, promotes literacy and education, which we think is just as important a cause as cancer, since a more literate population might create a better health care system with cures for cancer), you go around giving money to every individual you meet dying of cancer. Wow. You are Mother Teresa. And if I come to you and say I have cancer and can't pay my bills, you will give me the money you spent on your Longchamp bag. And you probably give money out of it to all the homeless people under the interstate too, right? And you help pretty much anybody who asks you for help, that is, as long as they aren't one of your sorority sisters, because that would be selfish. Sainthood, here you come. Oh, and you wouldn't give any money to promote literacy, because it's in your best interest to keep "those" people down and keep the population illiterate so they all vote Republican. Seen "The Help" yet? You'd fit right in Jackson.
