sororities vs fraternities
by: rushwhich process do you think is better? Sorority rush where you have limited convos but there is structure and everyone has a chance to talk to each house or the more informal and lengthy frat rushing?

I think with the number of girls who want to rush, it's not feasible to do a long term casual rush and be fair to everyone. BUT I think there are a lot of problems with sorority recruitment and decisions are made on limited interactions so a lot of girls (especially ones who don't do great with small talk) don't really have a great time/fair shot

it honestly doesnt seem healthy that some girls get so attached to like 15-25 minutes worth of conversations that are usually p superficial with girls theyve never met before. if ppl just went into rush with an open mind, like everyone says to, thered be so much less disappointment and all of the chapters and the pnms would thrive.

I agree with what you said, but I also think that a lot of the comments on here and ideas regarding social status/rank (negative and positive) that get perpetuated on campus give added pressure. Overall it’s pretty dumb, but it’s easier to say that people should care about what others think than actually not caring in some situations
