tulane rush cuts

its uncommon but it happens, usually only to girls with a gpa lower than a sorority's national requirement (which is never above 2.75 i think) or girls who are just straight up rude. i think this year esp with tri delt its gonna be pretty rare for a pnm to get cut from every house. we're so excited to meet all u guys so just smile and have an open mind and you'll get a bid :)

Not as long as you optimize your options which means attending all houses you are invited to and behave/dress appropriately. Don’t expect to be invited to more than 2-3 houses after the first day because only a few girls will have a full schedule. The system only works as long as girls don’t drop out when they are not invited to top houses (and sorry to be brutally honest most girls will not be invited past round 1). Each house can only take between 50-80 girls depending on the size of their current members so don’t choose a house until they choose you. Every house at Tulane has something to offer!

It depends. if you’re really pretty and cool and dress well you’ll probably have a full schedule the whole week. me and all of my friends did. if you’re awkward and shy and are dressed in business clothes, probably not! Rush is really superficial but that’s just the way it is

panhel doesn’t know quota for each sorority until pretty late into recruitment so this isn’t true. Also quota is the same for all the sororities the only difference is if a sorority doesn’t meet quota and how many quota additions they get.

we had a presentation from panhel to all the chapters this week. last yr 10 girls were cut from every single house out of like 800+. theyll prob tell u the same thing before u start rush. bigger issue is girls dropping when they dont get asked back to the houses they want, that is where the numbers really drop

Freshmen: you can be gorgeous, have a good gpa, etc. and still get cut from all the houses you want. I’m not saying this to scare you, I’m saying this bc posts like this make ppl feel like crap if they get dropped from certain places. A lot of times it’s not personal and you maybe talked to the wrong person, or maybe the house has a bunch of girls they knew from hs they want to make spots for. So ya not personal
