whats is the difference between dark and light thetas? im just hella confused

Someone explained it to me like this: dark thetas are girls that are more similar to the “darker” houses like kappa or AEPhi (in terms of partying) and light thetas are girls that are more similar to the “lighter” houses like phi mu or adpi which are more academically or sisterhood focused.

it’s stupid really. All sororities at Tulane have members that like to go out and party and others that are more studious. Someone started that stereotype about Theta but really it’s no different than any other sorority.

Dark are more into partying on the daily and light are heavily involved on campus. Light Thetas still are at the Boot and frat parties Thursday-Friday but some how maintain a 4.0 GPA, and would not compare them to Phi Mu or ADPi’s. Al Thetas love Thetas and light/dark started as a joke. Kappa has sparkle and glue.

There’s “light” and “dark” members of every sorority. Theta is really no different
