feeling confused

it’s not even rush yet and i’m getting ahead of myself but i’m soo conflicted as of rn. are Kappa and aephi really that hated on campus and full of that many mean girls?? i met a few different groups of sophomores and juniors in those 2 out last semester and we all really vibed (moreso with the kappas) and they encouraged me to rush when i told them i wasnt sure about it bc i’m not really a ~sorority girl~. ik if those girls were to rush me i’d pick them in a heartbeat. but i’m scared that i’d be choosing a sorority just bc i liked one friend group but wouldn’t want to associate with the rest (if theyre all as mean rich and vapid as this site says) ??? Basically what im asking is:
if you were at prefs and between a house of 1 friend group you really clicked with (but didn’t like the rest of the girls as much) and another house where you know you’d like more of the girls (but not as much of a connection), what’d you pick?
