Tulane is so lucky to have 7 thriving sororities, each uniquely different, and one new chapter beginning new member recruitment now on campus. If you went through Rush any time over the last 3 years and did not join a sisterhood due to lack of a bid or dropping out because you were not happy with your options meet up with Tri Delta now! This is an opportunity to join the sisterhood of your making!

Freshmen girls, listen up because many of you are worried about what you read on this site. Mom’s complain constantly on the Tulane parent pages about this site and why their daughter was dropped during Rush. Lots of comments are true and a lot are false. What you need to do right now this semester for a positive Rush is the following. Get to know the girls in your classes that are in sororities; many will ask typical for coffee to get to know you better. Join clubs and be active in numerous activities. Study hard and get at least a 3.0. Stay away from frat parties/darties and making stupid choices and scenes at the Boot. Go to events the sororitys have that are publicized. Watch on campus girls who wear their letters and how they act towards each other within their own house and with other houses. Clean up your social media and don’t get written up by housing and residence or the university. Keep an open mind and make judgements only after conversations on the day of pref parties.

Every school has ranks and tiers and they honestly do exist here at Tulane. Truthfully, there are 3 standards here that affect the types of sororitys which are partying, studying, and active on campus. Go where you are comfortable and wanted and know that there are some sororitys that encompass all three and some only one. Know the options and know yourself and where you will be comfortable.

Being Greek is special and there is a sisterhood for all of you if you have an open mind and don’t make stupid choices!
