theta vs phi mu - better fit (rankings not important)

I'm going to be a freshman at Tulane this fall and I was hoping I can get some more input on both Theta and Phi Mu, since those are the sororities I have connections to. In high school I was not a partier at all and flew under the radar, but I want to really put myself out there at Tulane. I'm on the shyer and artsier side and would def prefer a strong sisterhood over "tier" but I also want to be part of a sorority that goes out/is big on socials (though obviously balanced with academics), any input on either would be good :)

Theta and phi mu are very similar when you compare with academics, theta mixes with more frats and goes harder party wise, but there are tons of girls in phi mu who go out as well. Wait until rush but both sound like houses that you could fit in

It sounds like Chi O would be a good choice for you, actually. Wait and see until you go through the process to see where you'd be most comfortable.

Good luck getting into Chi O or Theta as they are Big 4 and most girls get cut after first round. All sororities at Tulane are great and don’t forget Tri Delta is on campus this year. They will rush in the fall.

Theta is lower/top tier/upper/mid tier and Phi Mu is lower/mid tier/upper/bottom tier. Both have smart, involved girls and had great new member classes so both are rising. Thetas care more about looks, partying, and social standing and mix with frats. Phi Mu has more sisterhood events and have an eclectic mix of girls and don’t really have events with frats. Theta cut lots of girls last year who thought they were guaranteed spots.
