by: incomingim comin to tulane in the fall and im soo excited to rush. anxious about rush. im from michigan and at umich adpi is a good sorority. why are they hated here? ive heard awful things about them, bad retention and freaky girls. what happened? is it better to stay or drop if i get in?

ADPI is a very nice sorority and gets a lot of the girls who fall through the cracks. They have fun socials and many are very close-knit. They are definitely the bottom sorority at Tulane, but nobody really cares about ranks in real life outside of recruitment or recruiting. Next year there will be a new sorority at Tulane, and they will most likely be the new bottom sorority, so next year is as good a time as ever to join ADPI and be part of the movement to start changing its identity and rep.

The answer above is a great answer. Nobody but you cares what sorority you're in.
I just wanted to add: A lot of sorority recruitment on the sorority's side has to do making an image for their sorority. ADPi has never really gotten the chance to do that because Tulane tries to minimize the number of girls that get dropped, so they can't really be too selective. You can easily give stereotypes for every other sorority (like AEPhi jappy, Phi Mu smart) but you can't for ADPi because they can't be as selective.
