Literally every girl is in a sorority and if u can’t get into one for whatever reason do yourself a favor and transfer to Loyola :)

That's not true. So many cute freshman chose not to join a sorority this year.

Although Tulane has an active greek life, I know many girls who either didn't rush or who dropped out and are doing just fine without being in a sorority. Some even dropped after getting into one of the top 4 because it wasn't what they expected. In my opinion, being part of the greek system is more important for guys at Tulane than girls.

I feel like a lot of people are in them, but it is def not a dominating factor in life at Tulane. I think of it as an addition, not a necessity (there is always something going on besides greek life).

Greek is big here but do not think for one minute that Tulane is anything like the South. Geographically it's in the south but it's not like the SEC. Don't think that Greek life must be like that here. If you aren't in a frat at Ole Miss you are literally dead. There are a lot of Greeks here but it's possible to have a totally normal experience without it IMHO
