rushing as a sophomore

What are my chances of getting a bid as a sophomore? Do the houses have to fill a certain quota for sophomores each year? Almost all my friends got bids from kappa. Would it help me get a bid if they pull for me next year during rush?

Slim chance even with friends in the sorority. Obvi freshman are preferred, esp since recruitment is in the spring. There’s really no point in joining a sorority almost half way through college. If you didn’t get in the big 4 as a freshman it’s not going to happen.

This is pretty uncommon, I know personally sophomores who have successfully gotten bids from Theta, ADPi, and Phi Mu as sophomores, but it’s rare. My best advice would be to try and go to lots of kappas events through first semester, bc even if you already have friends in that house you will need more people than you might have as a freshman.

Don't listen to the scare tactics. Kappa, Theta and ChiO all took Sophomores this year.

If you’ve already rushed then there’s no chance, kappa automatically drops people who re rush after the first round it doesn’t matter if u have friends

nahhh this year kappa took atleast two sophomores (transfers) and even a junior
