This isn't just a concept, this is completely true. That's why you see some girls only wearing their sorority's hats but never a sweatshirt/tshirt/etc. Because their head was accepted but not the body.

That makes sense but it’s a little confusing. are there limits to which body parts the sorority will give a bid to? For example, if my feet aren’t accepted can I not wear the sororities letters on my shoes? Additionally, can different parts of the body get bids to different houses? I’ve never heard about this before I’m not sure why my rc’s didn’t tell me.

Your RC’s don’t tell you this because you won’t find out which of your body parts were accepted until after you get your bid. It’s a part of the pledging process rituals.

what if my arm is accepted but not my hand? Which part is the wrist considered a part of? I have flabby wrists so I’m wondering if I can cover them up with sorority bracelets
