kappa?
by: hiHi, I'm having a really confusing rush process. I know they say not to factor in your opinions before rush, but I did not see myself fitting into Kappa. I cut them yesterday and got invited back today and really loved the girl I talked to and seeing their sisterhood video. I know people say some negative things about kappa, but would I fit in? I am not from the northeast and don't consider myself "cool" or "social media savvy" and trendy and stuff, I would describe myself as down to earth and looking for a true, genuine group of girls. I know the pledge classes are huge and I'm sure I can find "my people" anywhere, but can someone please say something positive about kappa? I'm so worried because I look around in the house and they're all pretty and I'm scared that I won't be good enough. But I loved the conversation and girl I had today. Thank you so much in advance :)

I completely understand where you’re coming from. I think the best thing to do is to follow your gut. I my opinion each pc in kappa is sooo diverse and has all types of girls, from quiet to loud and artsy to savvy. There is a genuine connection that we all have with each other and to the sorority which was special to me when deciding which house to take. Regardless, any house you choose will be amazing so go with your heart.

kappa can seem so intimidating but theres a reason they have the highest senior retention rate on campus. they get alot of flack but the girls really do have a great sisterhood and stick together. you seem so sweet and ultimately need to do whats best for you, but keep an open mind about the sororities and dont think about what people say! most of whats written on here about all sororities is not true
