how hard is it to get a “top tier “ sorority

people say rush isn’t as hard as other schools because we only have 8 sororities so it’s a shorter process and the days aren’t as long. given the kind of people that Tulane attracts there are way too many girls that fit the pi phi/kappa stereotype for all of those girls to get into those sororities, so rush can be pretty disappointing for most of the girls. don’t expect to get a top or mid tier. if you don’t know anyone in pi phi and kappa it will be very very hard to get in there unless you are super hot, cool, and dress really well, having a solid friend group of funny and pretty friends will help too since they rush friend groups (sometimes, depends on the year)

all the sororities at tulane, even the so-called "bottom tier" sororitys, attract beautiful girls and are all amazing. go into rush with an open mind and trust the process. not everyone gets a bid from their first choice so keep that in mind

Last year more than 800 girls rushed and this year we are expecting close to 1000 girls. There's a pretty good chance you'll get into a sorority since Greek life is pretty self selective (as in girls who are weird probably won't even rush in the first place) Getting into a top/middle tier sorority is pretty competitive but getting into any sorority is probably more likely than not
