nervous about rush

honestly rush is a superficial process. as much as sororities pretend it’s not about looks, most of it is. while some sororities do want girls who are more involved/girls with high gpas (chi o/theta), usually the “higher” the sorority, the prettier the girls they want. like last year kappa just based their voting on looks, which is harsh but that’s just the process for top sororitys so if that seriously bothers you then just consider other sororities. you should present yourself well, meaning cute clothes/nice hair etc., other things matter too like we want chill, cool girls in our sororities. if you don’t know anyone going into the process, try your best to relax and make a good impression but don’t get too upset if you get cut from a top or mid sorority—kappa/pi phi/chi o/theta— because a lot of girls already know people in those sororitys going into rush, so they cut the most. although plenty of girls end up in those sororities who knew no one going in, so you can still get into them it’s just less likely. third round is when the most cuts are made, so just be prepared for that. some sororities rush friend groups, so there’s that too. try not to take anything during rush too personally, if a sorority doesn’t ask you back then you probably don’t want to be in that sorority anyways.
