soph rush
by: GreekBeeI had to pull out of rush this year as a freshman. How hard will it be to get a bid from a top tier sorority as a sophomore?

hard especially with an attitude like that. If you're only rushing for the status then you might as well just not even try. Most houses don't even want sophomores, and if you were dropped by the best houses this year it's likely they will drop you again. Why would they consider you again?

maybe a little bit more difficult if you don't know anyone in the house but I know plenty of sophomores and transfers who knew nobody and have gotten into top houses. you'll have a p good chance of getting into the house you want if your friends are in it cause they'll vouch for you but I definitely suggest keeping your options and using this time to make friends in all the houses and see how they like it

First of all, I wasn't dropped. I had an emergency that prevented me from finishing the process. And, I'm open to all sororities, but some of my best friends landed in a particular sorority (Iies) that people rank high. I personally don't care about the rankings, but would ultimately like to join a group where I already have friends. I was just wondering if they even give sophomores a chance or if I need to just move on.
