Greek life at UNI is tough. After transferring here from Iowa State’s, you see the difference and it isn’t worth it once you’ve been apart of a something larger. I know bigger doesn’t mean better but I couldn’t invest into it as it just felt too small and I couldn’t find the right place considering the selection pool was small. If you like being involved and active, go greek, but don’t expect it to be anything fun as the bar life will always be superior.

The University of Northern Iowa has a small but growing Greek life. The people involved in these organizations stay true to their mission statements and genuinely care about bettering themselves as well campus life. With six fraternities and five sororities, there is a place for everyone inside of these great organizations!

Nonexistent greek life. Freshmen go into it thinking it’ll be like Iowa or Bama. 90% drop. You are emotionally manipulated. Very racist. No partying.
