Honest advice for freshman

To the freshman getting ready to rush

If you’re a guy you’re going to want to rush either SAE, SAM, SigChi or PSK

If you’re a girl you’re gonna want to try and pref XO, AXO or DG

Any other orgs are gonna be mid or not the best experience

You're setting many people up for disappointment. Every org brings something to the table. Go where you are desired, not just tolerated

This post is better suited for those who are looking for a more traditional Greek experience… other orgs still have plenty to offer but might not throw the biggest parties, etc.

At the end of the day, we’re at AU. Not Auburn. Go where you fit

AXO, XO, and especially DG are super cliquey even though they are popular. There are lots of other good options

mmmm.. not exactly i know so many girls in dg and xo that hate it and are planning to
drop/already have. i’ve heard okay things about phi mu and axo, but ive heard bad accounts from those as well

Valid. As a guy who rushed a few years ago (senior) I recommend adding Sigep and Phi Mu for mid tier and solid but beyond those not listed idk if Greek life would be worth. End of the day rush the place you mesh well with cause it’s for friends. Seems shallow to rush just for popularity but ig its not that deep
