getting a bid

How hard is it to get a bid from the different sororities (especially AXO and DG)? And would knowing girls in the sorority help at all?

it completely depends. dg and axo are the two most opposite sororities on campus. dg got a bad pledge class last year so getting a bid will be easy this year if you remotely match their criteria.

The last two are spot on. There are other sororities that are WAY more competitive than these two (especially since AXO had to take a fall pledge class and are on probation this year - they'll take anyone). DG has been having an off year too so just keep your GPA high and they'll take you
