It depends which groups are under quota and how far under they are. Also you can't accept a bid from another sorority if you sign the agreement after pref - - you can only accept 1 bid per calendar year.

That said, it's a bad move to go to pref and not give the sorority that offers you a bid a fair shake. They saw something in you by offering you an invite to pref and a bid. Try sticking around for the first couple new member events and seeing if you can see yourself in that sorority before dropping. Recruitment can be stressful and can keep you from seeing things clearly when you get wrapped up in the ranking process. Just my 2 cents
