sorority stereotypes 2019

someone dug up a legit ancient post and was like "do this for 2019" I am procrastinating on stuff, so, here we go. these aren't in ranking order btw.

Phi Mu: bland girls. some pretty girls, some smart girls, some girls that go out. pretty harmless. comfortably mediocre. they are pretty respected on campus but they definitely don't really have any unique qualities, and no stereotype. sort of just vanilla if I've ever seen anything (in all honesty). Known for being sweet and incredibly very basic. Lacks personality but nothing is wrong with them either, sort of just dead middle.

Phi Sig: used to have the reputation of the cool girls that party but aren't girly. The kind of people that would brag about how many guy friends they have, and say "i'm not like most girls". the sporty girls who drink beer because they don;t like "girly drinks" -- they are losing rep and respect on campus like crazy, as people really don't know what they want their image to be. Seem to be recruiting from all over. still, have cool girls. definitely know how to party.

DG: used to be known for the pretty smart girls that could do it all. grades and a fantastic social life. Now, they lost the grades and they're trying to morph into something thats like a more tame AXO. definitely beautiful girls. definitely go out. known for years about almost everyone is white, skinny, and blonde. criticized frequently regarding with diversity issues. a little more boring compared to AXO.

AXO: beautiful, fun-loving, trendy fashion obsessed, wannabe influencer party barbie dolls. literally. I do not think AXO would even consider taking a girl that was not considered not just pretty, but a smokeshow. definitely considered kinda fake. but, they embrace their diversity and fun loving reputation. first pick for the frats to mix and hang out with. they go out to all of the clubs and are crazy. took XO's old reputation, except AXO is much more likeable than XO ever was. some girls are catty, but some are genuinely nice.

SDT: had a super unwanted reputation, seems to be getting a bit better with every pledge class. girls they are recruiting now are the best they ever had. struggled a while with numbers because of bad leadership and a fractured chapter/nationals. seem to be attempting to recover. if I had to put a label on who they are, artsy, hipster girls if calling something hipster is still a thing. very down to earth/sweet girls. least superficial, but also considered the worst for a fun social life. not big on partying.

XO: undeniably the most hated chapter on campus. the community wished to see them kicked off for good after their blow or blow hazing scandal (if you dont know, look up what it means) but basically these girls are now back after two years of being banned from any recruitment/campus status. chi omega is trying to act intitled for their old spot in the rankings as the smokeshow party queens, but all the campus sees them now is last in the bottom tier for being superficial and harming their sisters. known for most superficial/fake sisterhood, craziest partiers.

SK: super new, colonized here in 2016. after first recruitment, got in trouble for a racism scandal bc they said they didn't want POC. AU put them dead last in the bottom tier for the year, and the next round of recruitment they made sure to recruit "token" girls of diversity, which pissed off people more bc it didn't seem genuine. known for social climbers, trying desperately not to be in the bottom.
