typical sorority
by: NewI am coming to American in the fall and was wondering if any of the sororities at AU offer a typical sorority experience like those at southern schools. Also, are there any sororities to more conservative girls?

No, you cannot experience the 'big time,' sorority experience at AU. The experience is different but it is every bit as meaningful the one's those schools offer.
When you say "conservative sorority" do you mean...
A chapter that's unflinchingly committed to a classic, fully-traditional and unwavering wholesome embodiment of their sorority's definition of the sisterhood?
No, AU doesn't have a sorority like that, but then again those are getting to be quite uncommon anywhere these days.
Or..
A chapter that's more "conservative minded" in the sense they've known for favoring girls who are more politically conservative?
Kinda, but there's no sororities that are known for being this way. There are definitely sororities are more "Hillary-ish" than others, and you'll certainly pick up on that if you rush.
In general, liberal mindsets far outweigh conservative mindsets in any sampling of AU students; nevertheless, there's enough of every type of person at AU for any student to have a group of friends that share whatever their values are.
