talking to active members

by:

Are we allowed to talk to active members before rush about sorority life? There are a host of things I’m worried about and I’d love some answers before I put down several hundred non-refundable dollars to join a sorority.

I'm happy to answer your questions, and will not identify my sorority. Please feel free to ask away. It's natural to be curious especially if you don't have any family members or hs friends who were in a sorority.

Hey! Just like the other commenter I'm in a sorority here are just went through recruitment last year. I'd love to provide some answers to questions anyone might have since friends you have in sororities really can't answer much (especially so close to recruitment) at the risk of getting their chapter in trouble. Also, if you do choose to go through with it, which I recommend doing, you will have a counselor who is not allowed to disclose her sorority and will be your point person throughout the weekend

Ok this is a terrible question- but what are we supposed to wear for rush, beyond just like what you feel comfortable in. Like are their formal days or is it mostly informal?? I just can’t seem to get a straight answer

Agreed with all the comments above. Wear what you will be comfortable in. All the parties are held indoors and typically you can dump your winter coat and boots outside the room and the rhos will watch it. Wear whatever you are comfortable in. And yes there is at least one LGBT in each chapter on this campus. Good luck!
