looks
by: curiousgirlGirls-- i know your rush process is like speed dating and really trying to find if you "match u[" with certain girls. however, in reality, how much of it REALLY just comes down to looks? first impressions are a lot and it would be a lie to say they dont matter AT ALL. On an honest note, how would you address that

i think putting effort into yourself but staying true to yourself is the best thing. doing your makeup and hair nice is definitely good for any sorority. when i rushed they had pnms wear a tshirt everyday until pref and i was super worried about trying to stand out by wearing preppy accessories that i ended up taking off because theh weren't my style at all abd everyone was wearing jeans and sneakers. last year though they let people wear what they want on day 2 and i think showinf your personal style and looking nice will get you places. that being said, unless its a top tear and your dont have the personality to hold a conversation for 10 minutes, your "natural looks" wont matter too much

i know for a fact Sig Delt won't let you wear anything sdt/letters and won't let you table for your organization unless your hair and makeup are done. i think it's easy to put it on the top organizations but really it's not like that. for me i think xo/axo/dg are more likely to take a less attractive girl who is really cool/interesting than a pretty but blah girl (i feel like SK and AXID take those girls kind of often)

But it doesn't mean that unattractive girls have no chance. The members' quotas are usually bigger than the number of pretty girls, so it comes to social skills and reputation .
