embarrassing question...: "woke" sororities?
by: fresh
so this is kind of an embarrassing thing to ask and i couldn't think of a good way to phrase it but figured it might be relevant because this is AU after all...
which sororities would you say are "woke"? i'd be interested in a group that's very active in social issues outside their own philanthropies and stuff. what groups would this include?

Obviously, in every chapter you're going to find a mix of individuals who don't all have the same views and opinions. That being said, I'm pretty sure that at AU just about every chapter will have at least a few members who are very into politics and social justice. I'm also pretty sure that most, if not all, of the sororities now have diversity and inclusion chairs, so efforts are definitely being made to keep the chapters welcoming for everyone. If you decide to sign up for recruitment, I would definitely suggest that you ask questions about what the girls you talk to are into, and don't be afraid to talk about what you're passionate about! The girls you talk to during recruitment can definitely help you get a sense of whether or not the chapter would be a good fit for what you're interested in.
