Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at American University - AU 3.4 Honestly, they are not that bad as some of this bashing portrays them! Having just gone through recruitment, I was really surprised (as were many PNMs) with how well they portrayed themselves. Yes, they do not have a uniform image of hot girls like XO or DG have, but they came across a lot better than some more established organisation at recruitment. The only reason many girls did not pref SK over some other ones were due to it being new. They weren't last choice or top for a lot of the girls.

Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at American University - AU 1.8 Some of them are very nice girls, but when it comes down to it they just care so much about their image and being a top tier like DG, XO, or AXO. It doesn't matter about being a top tier. It matters how genuine, kind, and involved you are. Thats when people respect you. They even pushed out some of their sisters and caused them to disaffiliate for a lot of these reasons.

I kept an open mind but it just seems that they are trying too hard to get a "perfect sorority" image. They are scripted and ingenuine. The rumors about them held true during recruitment and they were the bottom choice for a lot of girls because of this. SK, you have potential. Diversify your chapter, stop caring about your fake image, and don't talk down others.
