what are the top ranked sororities/fraternities here?
i was going to join a sorority next year and wondering how people view them/their stereotypes.

Glad you're interested in joining a sorority at Rockhurst next year. The best thing for you to do is just meet the women from the different sororities. Each sorority has strengths and weaknesses, but you will be happiest if you join the sorority because YOU like the women in it, not because SOMEONE ELSE gives you a list of "top ranked" sororities/fraternities. In college, you'll learn a lot about yourself and have the chance to meet a lot of people. Don't worry so much about the stereotypes are or who is considered the "top." It's all in the eye of the beholder. High school is filled with popular vs. not popular mentalities...college is different. The Rockhurst Greek community is pretty united; the fraternities/sororities mix with each other all the time, so keep an open mind and make lots of friends.

In all honesty, it doesn't really matter. In any of the sororities you will find great girls that you can spend your four years with. Each are different and each have different things to offer for your personality. So figure out which one you feel most comfortable in, the place you can be yourself, and somewhere you think you won't absolutely hate being in. Let's be honest, you go to Rockhurst. You will still be friends with everyone and being in a sorority doesn't change that. It merely gives you more opportunities for friendship with different people and bonds of sisterhood. It doesn't mean you are signing your four years to be a certain type of person or to only hang out with those people.

Please refrain from referring to your joke of a sorority, Theta Phi Alpha??? as "Theta." That nickname is reserved for Kappa Alpha Theta - a large, well-respected sorority. Much like Zeta & Gamma Phi, the REAL THETA has been around for ever and has over 150 chapters. As a real Theta at a nearby Kansas University, I'm offended. Your "Theta whatever" is a complete non-factor.
