can i be a transient from ucf and rush a sorority?

I currently go to the University of Central Florida but have been having trouble adjusting. My best friend goes to UWF and said I'm more than welcome to stay at her apartment next fall if I want to take a semester at UWF as a transient student and see if I like it.
My question is, if I enroll as a full time transient student at UWF, can I go through sorority recruitment? The purpose of me spending a semester (at least) here, is to see if I enjoy my college experience better. Any feedback or information is so helpful! :)

Somehow this post sounds like it was made from someone who went thru UCF's recruitment & was cut hard due to gpa/reputation/not enough recs/etc and couldn't adjust to being dropped from every sorority... just saying?
Tbh: Highly doubt any sorority would give up a spot to a student (if transient students are even allowed to rush) who will potentially only be with the chapter for one semester when they could've offered the bid to someone who would be with the chapter for 3 years or more....u would have to cut ties w/UCF & be a transfer student to have any hope in getting a bid anywhere imo.
