who are the people that drop?

More specifically, what are they like? If there are 900 girls that rush and only 700 who get bids, who are the 200 girls that drop and why do they drop? is it really that hard to get into a sorority at this school? greek life here seems like nothing compared to other schools

it's not like 200 girls don't get bids
around 20% will drop out because they were not happy with the houses they had

no there will be some girl on the second day when they are supposed to have 10 houses only have 3 or 4 so they drop out

Lots of girls who think they are hotter than they actually are - they don't get the house that they deem "good enough" so they just drop instead.

It also a lot of the girls who struggle coming out of their shell. If you're shy and can't have a solid concersation you met with someone 10 minutes ago, rush is going to be extremely difficult.

pretty much what everyone said above is right. it's very unlikely for someone to not get a bid to a house they pref. the only way this can happen is say they pref 3 but suicide one and then don't get a bid to that one

I see a lot of people talk about suiciding but what exactly is it? I was under the impression its when you only pref one house

It's when a girl prefs two or more houses and instead of ranking all of them in order, she just writes one of them down and omits the rest. So, if that particular house that she "suicided" doesn't want her, she doesn't get any bids, when she was otherwise guaranteed a bid from one of the chapters she omitted.
